Monica joined the Hope House staff in September 2021. She graduated from Front Range Community College with a teaching certification in the foundations of early childhood education. Prior to working at Hope House, Monica worked in early childhood education for over 25 years teaching music and worship arts. She was also a foster-to-adopt mom for 10 years and has adopted three of her six children. Through these experiences, Monica has worked closely with birth families, supporting the goal of reunification; and mentored teens and young adults who aged out of foster care, to help advocate for healing and healthy relationships in hopes to transform lives for Christ. She has a passion to come alongside both children and their families in all aspects of early childhood development and family engagement. Outside of work, Monica enjoys spending time with her husband and family. Some of their favorite activities are traveling, camping, hiking, creative art projects and music. Monica was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has lived in Colorado for 38 years.
