Lauren Stevig joined the Hope House staff in November 2020. As the Admissions & Activities Coordinator, Lauren helps teen moms through the orientation process and plans events throughout the year to help teen moms enjoy community at Hope House. Having previously worked as a counselor at a mental health center for at-risk youth and adult populations and as a social worker in a hospital where she helped families navigate the complexities of the healthcare system, Lauren brings a wealth of experience to her role as one of the first points of contact for teen moms at Hope House. Lauren has a Bachelor of Science in human development and family studies and a master’s degree in social work, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Though a native of Central Illinois, Lauren loves living in Denver where she can go on hiking adventures in the mountains one day and then into the city to try new foods, coffee shops and restaurants on another.
