Kirsten Bohne joined the Hope House staff in October 2020. Prior to her role as a residential advisor at Hope House, Kirsten worked at Shiloh House, a residential facility for at-risk youth, as a treatment counselor. While there she was responsible for daily documentation, teaching social and life skills to clients and integrating goals identified in clients’ treatment plans in day-to-day tasks. Prior to that, she volunteered at TESSA, a safe house for women, children and other victims escaping abuse that provides programming and support to empower survivors as they build brighter futures. Her experience working with victims of violence and at-risk youth, along with her completion of trauma informed and therapeutic care courses have equipped her to support teen moms as they work toward self-sufficiency in the Residential Program. Kirsten is a Florida native who enjoys spending time with family and getting back to the beach when she needs a break from climbing and exploring in the Rockies.
