Kathryn joined the Hope House staff in 2019, following five years as a client services director and lead trainer at a local pregnancy center where she counseled men and women in crisis situations, served as lead trainer and worked with hundreds of volunteers. Kathryn has also taught Get The Facts presentations to high school students, educating them on healthy relationships and sexual decision-making. Kathryn graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in family and consumer services, majoring in child and family development. She obtained a teaching license from Metropolitan State University and taught elementary school for eight years prior to working with women in crisis. Kathryn is a registered psychotherapist and has a heart for teen moms. She is passionate about guiding them through the many different aspects of their relationships so they can continue towards self-sufficiency. In her spare time, you’ll find Kathryn enjoying all that the Colorado mountains have to offer with her husband and two children.
