Julie Herrera studied Social Work at New Mexico Highlands University and holds a B.S. in Human Service/Management. Julie began working with teenage mothers as a volunteer mentor at Hope House in 2012. She then worked as a Residential Counselor at Hope House before accepting the Community Family Advocate position in 2014. Julie is now the Legal Advocate and Program Administrator. Julie also works with abused and neglected children as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Denver County. Providing a stable support system to young mothers and their children is Julie’s passion. She understands the challenges teenage mothers face and loves supporting and empowering young women in the community.
