Alicia joined the Hope House staff in March 2022. She graduated from MSU Denver with a degree in human development and family studies. Alicia is currently working on her master’s degree in social work with hopes of doing more advocacy in family law in a clinical setting. As a former teen mom, she has a deep passion for teaching and equipping young moms to accomplish their dreams. In 2016, she was awarded the Jefferson County Public Health Champion for some of her work with teen moms. Alicia volunteers as a court-appointed child advocate for the 17th Judicial District of Colorado. She is very familiar with family law and loves to advocate for the families at Hope House. Alicia loves being a support for Hope House teen moms working on parenting orders and teaching them how to advocate for themselves in the legal system. Domestic violence and intimate partner violence are issues she is passionate about, and she is committed to helping teen moms break the cycle of abuse. Alicia is a mom of two precious little boys. In her free time, she enjoys adventures with her little boys, barre classes and being involved in her church!
