With COVID-19 cases now confirmed in Colorado, Hope House Colorado is doing everything we can to help slow the spread of this virus and, most importantly, minimize the risk of exposure to our teen moms and their children, staff, volunteers and our community.

We will continue to monitor and follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE).  We regularly follow Jefferson County Public Schools closures; so considering their recent decision to close schools effective Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 17, we are partially closing our Resource Center during those same dates.

Because our teen moms depend on us for critical assistance with food, diapers, wipes and other essentials, they will continue to have access to these necessities through a Grab & Go line.

In response to this serious situation, we have put in place the following measures:

  • Group events, including volunteer activities, are cancelled.
  • Programs and classes for teen moms and their children are cancelled, except for the quick Grab & Go line for basics.
  • Only essential personnel will be in the building to support our teen moms.
  • Volunteers are asked to stay home.

We are accepting very limited in-kind donations by appointment only.  If you wish to help with diapers, wipes, meal boxes or gift cards for our teen moms, please contact Theresa Mazza, Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, at [email protected].

Hope House’s main priority is the wellbeing of our teen moms and their children.  We will also do our part in keeping our community safe and do everything we can to help slow the spread of this serious virus.

We will continue to keep you informed on this website. Heartfelt thanks for your continued support and please stay healthy and safe.

Thank you for your concern and response

We are working as hard as we can to meet the needs of our teen moms during this time. We will continue to provide diapers, wipes, children’s Tylenol, shelf-stable food, and other household essentials. We have also created a crisis fund to meet the surge in financial needs that our teen moms are experiencing. Everything you do to help right now is a huge blessing!
